Letter by the Lubavitcher Rebbe for the 200th Birthday of the Baal Shem Tov, with His English Signature - Iyar, 1960 - Typewritten letter in English, addressed to the Rav Dr. Leo (Eliyahu) Jung, informing him that the Rebbe is sending him the second volume of the Rayatz' memoir. At its end, the Rebbe's handwritten English signature .  Later, the Rebbe received the booklet Rabbi Jung had sent him and the Rebbe added words of gratitude and a useful comment for imporvement.  The Rebbe added the words ”in n.y” and underlined them.  Rabbi Eliyahu (Leo) Jung received his Hora'ah Semicha from Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen Kook and more. Held varied poritions and wrote many articles which were published in religious journals. He was a disciple of Rabbi Yosef Zvi Dushinsky at the Galanta Yeshiva and of Rabbi Dr. Hildesheimer in Berlin. He also had a PhD in philosphy.  Rabbi Dr. Jung supported the Rayatz' tremenedous enterprises including the establishments og Mikvehs in the USA and the shipment of Matzahs to the Jews of the USSR.  Enclosed is documentation from a Dinner of Tomchei Temimim during which he merited sitting beside the Rayatz and the Rebbe Menachem Mendel.  The following words were written by the Rayatz to Rabbi Jung for his assistance in rescuing the Rebbe and his family from besieged Warsaw : בזה הנני להגיד לו תודתי וברכתי בעד גודל שקידת עבודתו הפוריה לחלצני אותי ואת בני ביתי מן המיצר באופן נעלה ומסודר. תודה על העבר ובקשה על להבא להביא הדבר אשר התחיל מהכח אל הפועל הטוב.
