Sacred! The Maharal of Prague's Handwriting - Gur Aryeh, Prague 1578 - This edition of the sacred book Gur Aryeh is the Maharal's first book that was published by him. ”Attached is a certificate from the 'Siftei Tzaddikim' Institute.” Marana Rabbi Yehuda Loew, the Rav of varied communities headed by the community of Prague after which he was known as the Maharal of Prague. Gur Aryeh, Prague 1578 is the first among the dozens of works authored by the Maharal. The work elucidtaes Rashi's commentary on the Torah.  The famed scholar Reb Yitzchak Yudlov wrote about this edition:  Correction of errors and additions that were apparently added during the printing process by the author or the printers since they appear in the same script in the copy of Beit Hasfarim. (Ginzei Yisrael 654). He notes some of the leaves in which the corrections appear, which are identical to the corrections in this copy as well. In addiiton, there are many more corrections which were not noted.  Copy with his sacred glosses The margins of the leaves are laden with more than a hundred and fifty !! glosses, corrections and erasures of words with a pen.     Written on the margin of one of the pages are the words: אני ארי' בן לאא כהרר. Incomplete copy. 18-216 (originally, 228). Moth. Stains. Wear to the edges of some leaves, Slightly trimmed edges.  Fair condition.  Bound in an impressive leather binding.
