Pure Silver Kiddush Cup of Maran the Rishon LeZion Rabbi Ovadya Yosef - ”כוס ישועות אשא” - Kiddush cup and suacer decorated with bunches of grapes of the Posek Hador.  The cup was given as a gift in Iyar 1974.  On the bottom, an engraved English dedication: ”Presented to ראשון לציון עובדי' יוסף in commemoration of his visit to Young Israel of Flatbush Brooklyn N.Y April 27.1974 אייר תשל”ד Solomon J. Sharfman [Rav of the organization for over 40 years] , Rabbi Miles Heller Pres .” The cup was enentually given to his disciple as a gift. Enclosed is the recipient's confirmation.  Undoubtedly, the is an unconventional item, a sacred object: Maran's Kiddush cup with his engraved name , a cup that can glorify the Sabbath table, Kos shel Brachah.  The auction house presented the cup to the Rishon LeZion Maran the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Shlita, who stated that he remembered that his father had received it during his first visit as the Rishon LeZion to the USA.  Impressive cup.
