Awe-Inspiring and Sublime - Copy of Maran the Chidushei HaRim, the First Admor of Ger - Tosfot Shabbat, first edition of Mahadura Batra Zholkva, 1806.  By Rabbi Raphael ben Rabbi Chaim Meislis. A Sefer Yesod on Hilchot Shabbat.  The book is an important book on Hilchot Shabbat and is frequently cited in Piskei Acharonim.  Pedigreed copy:  On the title page, an ownership notation: ”זה הספר שייך להרב החסיד מפורסים מו' יצחק מאיר נ”י” .  Beside it, the signature of his in-law, the Naggid Rabbi Moshe Lifshitz.  The Chidushei HaRim:  The Admor Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Alter, the Iluy of Warsaw, one of the sharpest brains among the Geonim of Poland and it greatest Admor.  After the passin gof his teacher and Rav of Pershischa, he followed the Rebbe of Kock, who followed in the footsteps of the Rebbe Bonem of Pershischa. The Chidushei HaRim succeeded the Rebbe of Kock as leader of the community, establishing the Ger dynasty in the Kock spirit.  He was also famed as a Gaon who authored books on the Talmud and Shut, after which he was known as the Chidushei HaRim.  By the order of his Rav, he burnt his book on Shulchan Aruch Choshen Mishpat fearing that after he had settled the Kushiyot of the Shach, people would cease studying the work of Maran the Shach... His in-law:  Rabbi Moshe Lifshitz (d. 1831) was one of the leaders of the Warsaw community, the in-law of the first Admor of Ger, Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Alter author of Chidushei HaRim, and the Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kock.  Was a disciple of the Maggid of Kozhnitz and the Chozeh of Lublin, who supported the Shiduch.  [1], 123; 8 leaves. 36 cm.  Very good condition.  Rabbi Shmeril Tzitronbaum confirmed the authenticity of the item.  Magnificent leather binding.
