RARE ANTIQUE Bullard Repeating Arms Company Lever Action Repeating Rifle .40-75 Bullard with 26” Octagon to Round Barrel Early 8 Screw Model Serial #167 - This Bullard 8 Screw Large Frame Model is Historically Important bearing Serial #167 indicating this is a 1st year, Very Early Production Rifle. 26” Octagon to Round Barrel, 8 Screw Frame, 4 Groove Dust Cover, Gentle Arch Lever Loop Large Frame Model  Company Address Type II (Stamped Atop Left Side of Breach) - Extractor Access Hole below Company Address  Chambered in .40-75 Bullard that was confirmed with an Original Round of 40-75 Bullard Ammunition from a Private Collection. The 40-75 Round having a 2 1/10” Tapered Case was used for the Bullard Sporting Rifle introduced in 1886 featuring a 258 grain Lead Nose with 75 grains of Black Powder Finish is nearly gone, no serious pitting  The plain wood appears original  All the screw heads seem to be in fairly good serviceable condition  Comes with a later model Lyman Peep Sight  Two Blade Folding Rear Sight on Barrel  The rack and pinion action seems to work fairly well, and the dust cover also works properly.
