RARE ANTIQUE Bullard Repeating Arms Company DELUXE MODEL 1886 Lever Action Repeating Rifle .38-45 Bullard with 26” Octagon to Round Barrel - 26” Octagon to Round Barrel, 6 Screw Frame, 4 Groove Dust Cover, Gentle Arch Lever Loop Small Frame Model  Original Detailed Bullard gutta-percha butt-plate with Turkey Motif  Company Address Type II (Stamped Atop Left Side of Breach) - Extractor Access Hole below Company Address  Chambered in .38-45 Bullard that was confirmed with an Original Round of 38-45 Bullard Ammunition from a Private Collection. The 38-45 Round having a 1 8/10” Tapered Case was used for the Bullard Sporting Rifle introduced in 1886 featuring a 190 grain Lead Nose with 45 grains of Black Powder Short Factory Magazine Outstanding wood, with just one crush to the checkering in the fore-end  The Factory Butt-plate is Original and remains in wonderful condition . Wood is Excellent and includes an Ivory Toe in the Buttstock  Finish is very thin, no significant pitting is visible  Has no prevision for rear sight on the barrel, but does have factory Tang Peep Sight The Rack and Pinion Action is very smooth, Dust cover is nice and tight  This is clearly a Deluxe Model and a Wonderful Example of a very desirable Wild West Rifle.  S/N 1817 ANTIQUE NO FFL PAPERWORK REQUIRED
