Ladies' compact made of sterling silver, from 1949, designed like a clutch bag. Presented to a respected member of WIZO. With the WIZO logo engraved. Marked inside by maker's company, Elgin American. Made in the U.S.A. Marked Sterling. Weight: 164.4g. 86mm x 73mm x 15mm depth. Main compact closure is faulty. Closure of rouge/blush works. Elgin was of course also a company that first produced watchcases, lockets and cigarette cases and later wristwatches.
