Yuri Ivanovych KHYMYCH (1928-2003) - Nikolas-Dvorishchensky Cathedral Gouache on paper, signed, 1960's 51 x 86 cm The cathedral grounds are depicted in the style of a free sketch. In the foreground are parts of two church buildings. To the left (accordingly, limited by the left edge of the format) stands a white church, facing us with its altar facade, which has three equally high apses and narrow windows in several tiers. To the right (cropped by the right edge of the format) is a multi-story building whose wall is divided by pilasters into bays and has narrow windows. To the left, the building has a single-story annex. Both are covered with reddish roofs. In the background, against a light blue sky with white clouds, almost in the middle, a bell tower and a slightly lower gate tower of the guesthouse are visible. Both buildings are octagonal in plan and have light gray tent roofs. In the lower right corner, there is the author's signature in graphite pencil: Khimich.
