Yuri Ivanovych KHYMYCH (1928-2003) - Iosifo-Volokolamsky Assumption Monastery Gouache auf Papier, signiert, 1960's 50 x 73 cm In a freehand sketch, a part of the monastery's territory is depicted. In the center, from a high angle to the right, against a background of green grass, the Refectory Church is presented – on a high basement with a three-tiered gable roof in the form of small ships. The temple is crowned with five light-brown domes, topped with ornamented crosses on high drums. In the foreground, two annexes with red and greenish roofs adjoin the church. Behind the building there is a section of a blue wall with a corner tower slightly to the right. It has a blue-brown tent-shaped roof. In the background are the expanses of the river and the opposite bank, formed by greenish, yellowish, and blue stripes. In the lower left corner, there is the author's signature in graphite pencil: Khymych
