Yuri Ivanovych KHYMYCH (1928-2003) - Rizopolozhensky Monastery. Suzdal Gouache on paper, signiert, 1960's 50.5 x 73 cm The territory of the Rizopolozhensky Monastery is depicted in the style of a free sketch. On theleft side of the street stand single-story wooden houses of brownish-red and blue colors under gable and hip roofs, with white log cabins and figured shutters. A gray-blue wooden fence stretches along the houses. In the foreground is a gray-pink street with two pairs of passersby. In the distance, almost in the middle, the upper part of the Holy Gates of the monastery is visible. They have two tent roofs, crowned with small cupolas, the sides of the tent roofs are decorated with pseudo-dormer windows. To the right of the gates is a reddish three-tiered chapel with white facade trim and a greenish roof. It is crowned with a green crown on a crenellated lantern. Between the buildings in the middle and far plans are round greenish-round trees with yellow-brown accents.
