(282) MATTHEY ET COMP., ENAMELLED GOLD WATCH, CIRCA 1800 - Enamelled gold case, guilloché base, covered with royal blue translucent enamel, at 12 o'clock a small medallion, surrounded by 30 small brilliant-cut diamonds, in the centre of which is an enamel painting: quiver and torch. On the border an enamelled circle with 12 facets, outside the bezel a small geometric decoration, enamelled, the bow is also enamelled with an oval ring and a push button. Gold hands, pierced arrow shape. Movement: Large gilt brass plate, visible balance, cylinder escapement, suspended barrel, signed ”Matthey et Comp. No. 1764. Winding and hand setting with keys.
