(270) BAILLON À PARIS, ENAMELLED WATCH, CIRCA 1750 - Gold case, enameled base with a musical motif consisting of 2 female figures, one holding a sheet of music, and two angels with musical instruments, all surrounded by embossed and engraved gold volutes with floral motifs, 2 birds at the bottom. The bezel is also embossed and engraved, a small bow and a large hinge, typical Louis XV, the push button to open the bezel is decorated with a diamond. The base bears the number 1884 and the stamp FG. Dial: White enamel, with Roman numerals, minute track with large Arabic numerals, 12 small diamonds separate the numerals. Hands in grey gold, typical Louis XV, strongly cut, set with small diamonds. Movement: Pillars, baluster shape, gilded plate signed: Baillon à Paris. Large re-drilled and engraved balance cock, silver regulation rosette, chain and fusée winding, verge escapement, hand setting with keys. Watch starts.
