(289) DES ARTS ET CIE GENÈVE, ENAMELED POCKET WATCH WITH AUTOMATONS, 1775-1800 - Lépine case, middle part and bezel in gold, long bow in Louis XVI style. Dial: Enamel, white, signed. Decentralized hour circle with Arabic numerals. At 12 o'clock, a small dial with one hand for regulation. Hour and minute hands of pierced and gilt brass. Outside at 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock, two painted putti facing each other. The case back is blue enameled with an engraved decor, two baskets and birds; at 12 o'clock, a sector is cut out, revealing a series of small figures in solid, engraved and chased gold: A hunter and his dog. A hunter with a rifle, a bird is hung on the rifle and the dog follows. A man with an instrument (?), followed by a woman and her ram carrying a basket. Movement: With verge escapement, driving a carousel of figures (rotating disc), winding with keys and hand setting with fusee and chain. D: 49.5 mm, H: 22.5 mm, Weight: 73g In December 2005, Prof. André Curtit wrote in his expertise: ”Specimen in perfect condition and working order without any defects.
