Pfaffs Lager beer Pre-Pro Paper Label Stoneware Bottle -VERY EARLY RARE- - Brewer/Business Name: H & J Pfaff Brewery, Boston, Massachusetts Manufacturer/Plant: Unknown Date of manufacture: Pre-Prohibition Contents/Type: N/A Dimensions: 3-3/4 diameter x 10 h. Comments/description: Rare, early paper labeled stoneware bottle. Early, likely from the first period during which the brewery operated under the name H & J Pfaff Brewery (versus Brewing Co.), from 1857-1893. There is no date on the piece, though it is likely from the 1880s. There is a makers mark below the right edge of the label, of which only GLASGOW is legible.
