Bidspirit auction | Cer-ola Cereal Beverage Prohibition Era
Cer-ola Cereal Beverage Prohibition Era Cardboard Sign - Brewer/Business Name: Kolb Brewing Co., Bay City, Michigan Manufacturer/Plant: Unknown Date of manufacture: Prohibition Contents/Type: n/a Dimensions: 11 w x 17-1/2 h. Comments/description: Prohibition era non-intoxicating beverage sign. Features family on the beach enjoying Cer-ola. Design cues on this piece indicate an origin of about 1930 as there are elements of both nascent Art Deco and of 1920s fashion. The bottle even resembles a hybrid of traditional malt tonic shapes and the forthcoming post-Repeal steinie design. Condition and color are excellent with the only notable blemish being a squished bottom right corner, with other corners and edge wear quite minimal. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
