Sefer Likkutei Torah by the Maggid of Chernobyl (chassidut). Early edition, Lemberg 1865, with an important signature.

Seven tutorials and droshim on the Torah by the Admor Rabbi Mordechai Twersky, known as the Maggid of Chernobyl. Third edition. [2], 63 [supposed to be 64] leaves. This copy is probably missing one page from the endorsements. Endorsements from Rabbi Yosef Shaul Natanson, the Divrei Haim of Sanz, Rabbi Yeshaya Maies. Introduction from the author’s sons, Rabbi Meshulam Zusya and Rabbi Yehiel Michal. Stains, old worn binding, leather spine, moisture stains, overall good condition.

The blank first page and title page and the last page have notes of ownership of: “Yona Zeev HaLevi Halperin”, probably Rabbi Yona Zeev HaLevi Halpert of Mokova (died in 1938), son of Rabbi Akiva of Munkatch. On his mother’s side he was the grandson of Rabbi Yaakov Yitzhak Bernstein of Munkatch. He lost his father when he was 6 and grew up under the Admor the Maharsh Shapira of Munkatch together with his son (later his successor) the Minchat Eliezer. Later he became a chassid of Belz. He served as a Shov in Makova, wrote a commentary on the Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De’ah called “Kol HaTur.”
