Lashon HaZahav on Masechtot Brachot and Eruvin, first edition (of Eruvin)—Pietrekov 1899

By Rabbi Zeev Wolf ben Rabbi Elazar, rabbi of Luzhansk and student of Rabbeinu Elimelech of Luzhansk. First edition of Eruvin. Two title pages, and an additional title page for Eruvin. Important, strongly worded endorsements from Chassidic and other sages of the period, including Rabbi Shlomo HaRishon of Babov, the Divrei Yehezkel of Sinoa, Rabbi David Moshe of Chortkov, Rabbi Eliyahu Haim Maizel of Lodz, and Rabbi Haim of Brisk, as well as Admorim of Grodzinsk, Gur, Sadigura, Rodishitz, Amnishov, Ostrovtza, Pilz, Sochotchov, Trisk, Alexander, Husyatin, Worka, Radzin, and more. Looks like a two-volume book originally, some pages bound separately. Brachot: [10], 90 pages. Eiruvin-2-154 pages. (Apart from the endorsements it is not clear what belongs to which volume). Front binding detached, no spine, pages detached and fragile, overall bad to ok condition.

The author, Rabbi Zeev Wolf ben Rabbi Elazar of Luzhansk (1680-1793) was the student of Rabbi Yaakov Yitzhak Segel Harif of Dokla. He served as rabbi of Luzhansk during the time of Rabbi Elimelech (the Noam Elimelech), and had a very strong friendship with him. He was even appointed in his place by his followers and merited a long life, dying at age 113.
