Collection of Chassidic books and booklets—some rare and first editions.
1. Midrash Ribash Tov “articles, droshim, remazim, conversations with Rabbi Yisrael Baal Shem Tov”, divided into two sections, with a separate title page for each. First edition by Yehuda known as Leib Avraham—Edelin 1927. Ringing endorsements by Chassidic sages of the period, the Ahavat Yisrael of Vizhnitz, Rabbi Shalom Eliezer of Ratzport, and more. 110, 112 pages. Light defects, original binding with light defects, overall good condition.
2. Collection of original letters from the Baal Shem Tov and his students, copies of letters found in the famous Kherson geniza. Included is a negotiation between the office of the Emperor in Vienna with the leaders of Lviv on the subject of the Admor Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin…and an original letter from the Maharal of Prague…on the creation of the Golem…”. First edition by Haim Bloch, published by Menorah in Vienna/Berlin 1923. 111, [1] page. Original front jacket, torn and defective. Tears and various stains. Overall fair condition.
3. Divrei Haim by Rabbi Haim Chernowitzer, taken from his book Beer Mayim Chayim…divrei torah translated into Yiddish. Only edition, published by Shalom Zilber, Chernowitz 1923. 28 leaves. Original printing binding. Title page detached. Light stains. Overall good condition.
4. Likkutei Baal Shem Tov and things left out of Keter Shem Tov…second edition, 1929. 10 pages. Fragile pages, some detached. Original printed binding with defects. Overall fair condition.
