Letter from the Rebbe in Yiddish with many blessings and expression of his opinion on the setting of a date for a wedding, signed by the secretary. Tishrei 1957. - Typewritten letter on official letterhead from the 11th of Tishrei 1957. The Rebbe answers a correspondent’s earlier letter in which she asked him to include something in his prayers: “may Hashem complete the days of her pregnancy in health and soundness and may she give birth to zerah chai v’kayam at the proper time in health and easily”. Later the Rebbe switches to Yiddish and writes that he was very happy to hear that they would not delay the wedding date, and even expresses his hope that they will act as an example for others, “for all those who make it earlier are acting properly and Hashem will provide food and parnasa with chen, chessed, and rachamim” and blesses the new couple in Yiddish (free translation): “May it be that all of their days will be filled with besorot tovot [good news] for one another individually and together, from the increase of your important work for the organization of Chabad women and girls in Israel and Jerusalem…”. The letter was signed by the secretary Rabbi Eliyahu Quint “in the name of the Admor shlita”. As is well-known, many letters were signed in the name of the secretaries but were actually signed by the Rebbe himself. [1] leaf/envelope. Folding creases, stains, tiny holes, overall good condition.
