Tefillah L’Moshe, with a prayer by the Chatam Sofer and a segula from the Rosh of Ostropoli for plagues. Jerusalem 1903
“I named this book Tefillah L’Moshe in honor of the Admor the Chatam Sofer, this prayer I found in an old siddur that is lost…and he also gave me a prayer to print…the Chatam Sofer…” This is a nusach tefillah that the Chatam Sofer wrote in the beginning of 5592 (1831) when there was a cholera pandemic (as is stated on the back of the title page). There is also a booklet afterward with a “wonderful segula from Rabbi Shimshon Ostropoli to say during a plague.” At the end is a “commentary on the wonderful article by the kabbalist the Ribash of Zamshat…” This is a rare booklet “brought to the publisher for the masses by the rabbis appointed and managing the Ungvarn Kollel in Jerusalem, in 1903.” 10 leaves. Tear in the center of the title page and the following page (see picture) and the last page. Stains, overall good condition.
