On the title page, an erased signature of the holy Gaon Rabbi Ahron David Deutsch Av Beit Din of Yarmat, the author of the Goren David and a notation handwritten by him on the flyleaf: "שייך להרב הגאון הגדול... תמים במעשיו מהו' אהרן דוד דייטש מק"ק יארמוט".


On verso of the flyleaf, the stamp of his son and successor the holy Rav Rabbi Yosef Yirael Deutsch, the author of Ben Gorno "יוסף ישראל דייטש ב"ה"ג מו"ה א"ד זצל אב"ד מ. יארמוט".


Additional owner's signatures: "הק' חיים יעקב קייזלער", "משה אהרן בן מו"ר...".

Large tears to the first five leaves (including the title page), non-professionally restored. Moth perforations. Mold stains. Fair condition. 


The holy Gaon Rabbi Ahron David Deutsch Av Beit Din of Yarmat (1812-1878) one of the leading disciples of the Chatam Sofer and one of the leading rabbis of Hungary. Studied at the Pressburg Yeshiva. Was Rav of Yarmat (Balassagyarmat, ) for approx. twenty-seven years until his passing. Some of his responsa was published in his book Goren David. 


The Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Yosef Yisrael Deutsch (1845-1927) the son and successor of the Goren David/ Served as Rav and Rosh Yeshiva in Yarmat for approx. fifty years.
