First Time in Auctions: the Basic Book for Jewish Girls at the Sacred Printery: Tzenah Urenah at at the Press of Rabbi Shmuel Avraham Shapira - Slavuta 1824
"Chamisha Chumshei Torah, in Yiddish, Tzenah Urenah ... edited by the Chassid Rabbbi Yaakov ben Rabbi Yitzchak of the family of Rabbeinu Asher of Yanova. Printed by the rabbinic Rabbi Shmuel Avraham Shapira, the son of the Rav of Slavuta", Slavuta, 1824. 2m 200 leaves. Stains and signs of usage. Some moth perforations and damage, mainly to the margins. The title page and the following leaf are slightly incomplete a restored with paper. Old binding, restored with a new fabric spine. Good overall condition.
This book is not listed in the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book and appears in the Rare Book Collection of the National Library. It is rare like all other prayer books and Chumashim that were printed by the sacred Shapira family and to this day are sought-after due to their sanctity.
