Issues of HaMizrachi First and Second Year - Warsaw, 1918-1919
Volume containing the issues of HaMizrachi journal. Beneath the logo, the vision of the movement: "הסתדרות המזרחי שואפת ליצור מקלט בטוח על ידיד משפט גלוי לעם ישראל בארץ ישראל ועל פי רוח התורה והמסורה". (The HaMizrachi Histadrut aspires to establish a safe haven... for the Jewish people in the Land of Israel in the spirit of the Torah and Mesorah).
These are issues from its first two years. Warsaw, 1918-1919. It has not been studied whether all exist. Browsing the issues reveals the great thirst of the nation for its land and homeland. The issues also indicate the pitiable financial-political state of the Jews of Poland and the area.
The title of the issue from the 19th of Adar b 1919 asks the Jews of Warsaw to vote for list No. 12, apparently referring to the elections for the Polish parliament, the Sejm. In addition, there are many articles on the political vision.
Fascinating volume allowing a peek into the first days of the HaMizrachi Movement. Stains and signs of usage. Good overall condition.
