Sefer Ir Binyamin, elucidation on Aggadot Chazal that are compiled in Sefer Ein Yakov section II, by the Gaon Rabbi Binyamin Zeec Wolf Av Beit Din of Zmigrod, the son of Rabbi Shmuel Darshan, the grandson of the great Gaon Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel of Krakow. First edition Frankfurt an der Oder, 1698. [2], 60 leaves. In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection.
Approbation by leading contemporary rabbis: Rabbi David Oppenheim and many more. Title page with a fine engraved illustration of Moshe and Aharon, KIng David, Sulam Yaakov and varied biblical episodes. Ancient binding, original? Taping to title page and additional leaves. Some moth damage. Stains. Good overall condition.
On the title page, an ancient Asgkenazic signature: "שייך לגיסי הנעלה כ' זימל נרו? ושאולי מהנ"ל כנז"ל מעבר לדף ע"ב". A single significant gloss, signed "חיים".
