Letter handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Mednik Av Beit Din of Machzikei Hadat of Chicago and author of Mazkeret Chaim, addressed to the Gaon Rabbi Yechezkel Sarna, the Rosh Yeshiva of Hebron - Chicago, 1948.

Rabbeinu sent his letter in the midst of the War of Independence, in 1948, informing Rabbi Sarna that due to the difficult situation, his wife too volunteered to raise funds from the woman of the community for the Yeshiva: "ידידי בימי הצר והמצוק אשר עיה"ק ירושלים תובב"א וכל המוסדות הקדושים אשר בעיר נמצאים כעת, נתעוררו חבורת נשים, אשר אשתי תחי' המנהלת.. לאסוף איזו תמיכה לישיבות הק'". At the end of the letter, Rabbi Mednik asks Rabbi Sarna to pray for him and for his wife: "אני בעצמי צריך לרחמי שמים כי יחזקני ויאמצני וירפאני מחולשת לבי וכן רעייתי צריכה ר"ש מן השמים...".
