Pedigreed Copies with Glosses! Extremely Rare: Toldot Yosef on the Megillot, Two Sections - First Edition Shklow? 1797 Sudilkov? 1825

Volume I, large format: 33 cm. On Kohelet, Rut, Ester and Eichah. Assumed to be printed in Shklow, based on the title page, in 1797. 46, 30 leaves. Between the paginations there is an additional title page for the elucidations of Rut, Ester and Eichah.

Volume II, small format: 21 cm. On Shir HaShirim. The place and year of printing do not appear on the title page. However, according to the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book, it was apparently printed in Sudilkov. The approbations indicate that it was printed in 1825. [3], 34 leaves.

In the Rare Book Collection of the National Library.

Variant!
According to the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book leaf [3] at the beginning of the book (with the author's introduction, taken from his introduction to his work on the Pentateuch) was printed twice, with variations. This copy matches the first printing (see Hebrew catalog text).

No bindings. Many moth perforations and moth damage. Fair-poor overall condition.

Signatures and glosses!
On the flyleaf of section I, an ownership notation. On leaf 23 of the second pagination, a significant handwritten comment.

In volume II, notations on the title page. On the back flyleaf, a notation by one of the Admorim of Kontikozova, apparently, the Admor Rabbi Pinchas Rabinovich of Kontikozova (1861-1922).
