Rare! Original Invitation Sent by the Rebbe the Rayatz to the Wedding of the Rebbe and the Rebbetzin on Kislev 14, 1929 in Warsaw - “A wedding, in general, for every private person – is a public matter. But for me … it is the day that connected me to you, and you to me, and together we will toil and bring the true and complete Geulah , May Hashem Yitbarach help us see the fruit of our labor” , the Rebbe's words about the day of his wedding (free translation) at the Hitva'adut on Kislev 14, 1953.  Original invitation printed with purple ink, which was sent by the Rebbe the Rayatz to the wedding of his daughter, the Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka and the Admor ”on Tuesday the 14th of Kislev [1928]... at the Chatzer of the Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch Yeshiva...in Warsaw...” More than ten different types of invitations were sent by the Rebbe the Rayatz to the Rebbe and Rebbetzin's wedding. This is an invitation that was sent to Chabad Chassidim outside the country, who apparently could not attend and therefore the Rebbe added to the third paragraph the words ”לידידי ומכירי אשר גם מרחוק יואילו נא לשמוח אתנו יחדיו, ביום שמחת לבבנו” (to my friends and acquaintances who will rejoice with us from afar on the day of our hearts' joy). Added on the margins of the invitation is the address for sending telegrams of greetings (it should be noted that this line was not added to invitations that were sent in Russia).  The Rebbe the Rayatz ends the invitation with warm blessings:  ”האל הטוב, הוא יתברך, יברך את כבודו ואנשי ביתו יחיו, בתוך כלל אחב”י [אחינו בני ישראל] יחיו, בברכות מאליפות מנפש ועד בשר. מוקירם ומכבדם...”. They have been precise even with the wording of the invitation To this day, the version of these invitations to the Rebbe and Rebbetzin's wedding, which were sent by the Rebbe the Rayatz, is used by Chabad Chassidim for their sons' wedding invitations. This is because of what the Rebbe said (in Torat Menachem Hitva'aduyot section X, p. 198): ”The precision of the wedding customs - as all customs...is so much so that they have been precise even with the version of the invitation. Before the wedding of my sister-in-law (the Rebbetzin Sheina Horenstein) the Admor instructed to copy the version of the invitation from our invitation. In response to my question, the Admor said that this version is from his wedding invitation and apparently was the version of previous invitations”. The ”אהבה” initials The Rebbe also said (ibid.) about the version of the invitation that it had four paragraphs and the four letters at their beginning form the word ”אהבה” (love). Some stains. Minor restorations. Good overall condition.  This invitation is extremely rare since not many copies of it still exist. A similar copy was auctioned by Gnazim, auction 17a lot 179 and sold for $14,000.
