Glosses by the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Fischer Av Beit Din of Karlsburg and Additional Signatures: Sefer Sha'arei Chochmah Shev Shema'tata by the Author of the Shemen Roke'ach - First Edition. Prague, 1807 - Sefer Sha'arei Chochmah, Klalei HaShas and Drushim (titled Sha'arei Yirah) by the Gaon Rabbi Elazar Löw Av Beit Din of Lask author of the Shemen Rokeach. First edition. Prague - 1807. [2], 82, [7] leaves. Moth perforations. Some moth damage, mainly to the last leaves. Some taping, affecting the text in some places. Good overall condition.  On the title page of the book, stamps of the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Fischer Av Beit Din of Karlsburg [see below]. Throughout the book, 3 glosses handwritten by him, 2 of them especially lengthy. Additional signatures of Rabbi Moshe Chaim Weinstein [see below], Yeshaya Schwartz and an additional ancient signature that was not deciphered.  Rabbi Shlomo Fischer Av Beit Din of Karslburg (1852-1932), the son of Rabbi Aharon and Beila (the daughter of Rabbi Binyamin Wolf Osterlitz, Rosh Yeshiva and Dayan of Eisenstadt). The son-in-law of Rabbi Shemaya Halevi, Rav of Novo Mesto, Slovakia. His wife was the great-granddaughter of Rabbi Zvi Hirsch heller, the author of the Tiv Gittin. Studied in his grandfather's yeshiva in Eisenstadt, in the Pressburg Yehsiva under Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Binyamin Sofer, the Ketav Sofer, and in the yeshiva of Rabbi Yitzchak Dov Bamberger in Virtzburg (Würzburg).  Rabbi Shlomo wrote many religious articles that were published in his lifetime in varied religious journals. Additional articles were published in his books Korbani Lachmi, Yeini im Chalavi and Neirot Shlomo. Many of his manuscripts were lost during the War of Independence in Jerusalem. His son, Rabbi Aharon, immigrated to Israel and his sons are th efamed Geonim Rabbi Yisrael Yaakov Fischer, Rosh Av Beit Din of HaEidah HaChareidit and Rabbi Shlomo Fischer, the Rosh Yeshiva of Itri and Av Beit Din of the rabbininc Beit Din of Jerusalem.  Rabbi Moshe Chaim Weinstein of Hajdúhadház , a disciple of the Chatam Sofer. What he wrote down of his Rav, the Chatam Sofer's Torah, had survived. His son, Rabbi Yitzchak Benzion Weinstein, was a Shochet and Bodek of Hidolmash. In the book Drashot Chatam Sofer (printed at the printery if Rabbi Moshe Chaim's grandson in Klausenburh), the publisher, Rabbi Yosef Naftali Stern, wrote that he found many Kuntresim in the estate of the disciple Rabbi Moshe Chaim Weinstein (HaChatam Sofer Vetalmidav leaf 375).   Rabbi Elazar Löw author of the Shemen Rokeach (1768-1837) ben Rabbi Aryeh Leib was born in Poland and studied Torah under his grandfather Rabbi Pinchas Zelig of Lask, author of Ateret Paz. On his mother's side, he was a descendant of the Maharshal, Baal Halevushim and the Maharal of Prague. Served as Rav of Filtz and then, by the advice of his in-law Rabbi Mordechai Bennett, moved to the state of Mehrin, where he served as Rav of Tritsh and Ransburg. Later, he moved to Mikolush, Hungary and from 1830 until his passing, served as Av Beit Din of Santov. Was considered one of Gedolei Hador and fiercely fought the Enlightenment Movement.
