Chumashim with the Sabbath Siddur of Rabbi Moshe Bezalel Alter of Ger and His Son Rabbi Avraham Mordechai the In-Law of the Pne4i Menachem: Mikra'ot Gedolot Vayikra and Devarim - Lemberg, 1909 - Mikra'ot Gedolot Sefer Vayikra and Sefer Devarim with 44 commentaries. The Press of David Balavan in Lemberg, 1909. The Chumashim contain Megillot, Yotzrot and Siddur Shacharit and Musaf for Sabbath. Vayikra: 282, [1], 5-13, 36 leaves, 24 pp. Devarim: 372 leaves, 22 pp. (the last leaf and another leaf of the Siddur are missing). Matching leather bindings with reinforcements to spine and corners. Stains and marks of usage. Some tears and taping, in one place affecting the text. Other minor blemishes. Good overall condition.  On the title page of Vayikra, the handwritten signature of Rabbi Moshe Bezalel Alter of Ger, ”משה בצלאל מק' גור”  and many signatures and stamps of his son, Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter the in-law of the Admor of Ger Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Alter the Pnei Menachem, who owned the book after his in-law's passing.  Rabbi Moshe Bezalel Alter (1869-1942) the son of the Sefat Emet of Ger and brother of the Imrei Emet. His talents and Kedusha were noticeable since childhood and he became a central figure in Torah and Chassidut. Was known as a Shakdan and Matmid and was considered one of Gedolei Torah of Poland. After his father's passing, he supported his brother the Imrei Emet in managing the Chassidut and served as the commentator of the Rebbe's words. In the Imrei Emet's first will, he was labeled the successor of the Chassidut yet he perished in Treblinka during the Holocaust. His son, Rabbi Avraham Mordechai, married off his daughter to the Rebbe the Pnei Menachem, the Imrei Emet's youngest son.
