Important Letter by Maran the Mashgi'ach Rabbi Eliyahu Dessler - from the Time He was Staying in New York for the Wedding of His Son-in-Law, Rabbi Geldzahler - Michtav MeEliyahu , interesting and rare letter - handwritten entirely by Maran the Mashgi'ach Rabbi Eliyahu Dessler - addressed to his disciple, the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Risner - New York, 1949.  The rare letter was written by the Mashgi'ach when he was staying in New York for the wedding of his daughter and the Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Yehoshua Geldzahler, the Rosh Yeshiva of Or Yisrael. At the beginning of his letter, Rabbeinu apologizes for not responding immediately to his letter, ”All the time I was staying here, there was no way for me to fulfill my letter duties, I even had to shorten my response to the more necessary public affairs...” . Later, Rabbeinu warmly blesses Rabbi Risner for his wedding, ending with a moral sentence: ”ובוודאי שמת כל מרצך לעלות מעלה בתורה ועבודת השי”ת ותהי' לגדול בישראל באמת וממילא גם מאושר כל ימי חייך...”. 18X30 cm.  Fold lines. Good condition.  Maran the Mashgi'ach Rabbi Eliyahu Dessler (1892-1954), the great-grandson of Rabbi Yisrael Salanter, the founder of the Mussar Movement, and the son-in-law of Rabbi Nachum Zeev Ziv, the son of the Saba of Kelm. Served as Rav in England and later as the Mashgi'ach of the Ponovezh Yeshiva of Bnei Brak. Many residents of Bnei Brak who were not students of the yeshiva came to listen to his deep Sichot which were based on Mussar and Chassidut. His Sichot were published in his monumental book Michtav MeEliyahu, which soon became a Sefer Yesod for anyone taking his first steps in the world of Torah.
