Complete Set of Chamisha Chumshei Torah with an Approbation by Rabbeinu the Pnei Yehoshua - Frankfurt an Der Oder, 1746 - Set of 5 volumes of ”Chamisha Chumshei Torah, with 3 Targumim and Chamesh Megillot and Haftarot(!) and with nice commentaries...” The Press of Dr. and Prof. Grilla, Frankfurt an Der Oder, 1746. The section of Bereshit has two title pages, the first of them illustrated. All other sections have only the illustrated title page. Separate title page for the section of the Haftarot. Late bindings with worn leather spines. Stains. Some taping and tears. Moth damage and some other blemishes. Good overall condition. Not studied leaf-by-leaf.  Unique features The Chumash is adorned with an approbation by Rabbeinu, Rabbi Yaakov Yehoshua Folk, the author of the Pnei Yehoshua, from 1743 - its hould be noted that the Chumash was publsihed in his lifetime. Written on the (detailed) second title page: ”ועל הטוב יזכר שם אדונינו מורינו ורבינו הגאון הגדול המפורסם נשיא ישראל כבוד מוהר”ר דוד אופנהיים זצ”ל שהי' אב”ד דק”ק פראג יע”א ונשיא בא”י, אשר זכה וזיכה את הרבים ונתן מבית נכאותו בית מלא ספרים להדפיס הפירוש הרשב”ם זצללה”ה...”. [1], 411-526, [1], 97099, 97-102, 100-101, 109-120; 23 leaves. Includes the Megillat Shir Hashirim. Due to mispagination of the leaves of the Haftarot, some of the leaves were misplaced in the binding; yet, there do not seem to be missing leaves.  [IV]: Bamidbar. 152, [1], 145-156, 57-62, 157-162 leaves. Includes the Megillat Rut. On the last page of the Chumash there is an illustration of the borders of Eretz Yisrael according to the Rashbam [V]: Devarim. [1], 153-378 leaves. Includes the Megillot Eicha and Kohelet.
