Special - Letter of Chidushei Torah Forming an Entire Work - by the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Yaakov Oislander the Right Hand of the Gaon of Shamloy - Letter of Chidushei Torah - by the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Shmuel Oislander of Shamloy - addressed to the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Brody Av Beit Din of Prague - Zenta, 1915. Rabbi Oislander escaped to Prague during WWI and was supported, like many of the refugees, by the rescue operations of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Brody Av Beit Din of Prague. In his letter, Rabbeinu apologizes for not coming to say goodbye to the Rav of the town before leaving it, due to the tight schedule. He writes an entire Maracha on the Sugya of Mugremet: ”לדבר הזה יסלח לי אדוני על אשר נסעתי מפראג בלי קבלת רשות פרידה.... ואודה לה' על כל הטוב אשר גמלני... וב”ה נבלה וטרפה לא אכלתי וגם חלול שבת במלאכה דאורייתא לא בא לידי... והנני בוטח בה' שירחיב עוד לי...”. Handwritten by a disciple, signed twice by him.  4 leaves. 8 written pages.  15X23 cm.  Fold lines. Good condition.  The Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Shmuel Oislander , a disciple of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich of Shamloy and his right hand in managing the yeshiva. Moved to Grosswardein, where he served as Dayan and headed a small yeshiva in the town. His book, Bikurei Reishit, was approbated by his Rav, the Gaon of Shamloy, the Admor the author of the Ahavat Yisrael, the Rav of Nasoid and more.
