First Time Auctioned! Rare Letter with Divrei Torah by the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Natan Note Handelsman Rav of Kleck and Kiev and Author of Netivot Or - Kleck, 1891 - ומצאתי אור לנתיבתי הוא הדבר שרשמתי אצלי -  lengthy letter with Divrei Torah and blessings to the rabbis of Mezeritch - handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Natan Note Handelsman - addressed to a resident of his birth town Mezeritch - Kleck, 1891.  Rabbeinu sent his letter to a resident of his birth town Mezeritch, Rabbi Meir of Mezericth. At the beginning of his letter, Rabbeinu lovingly greets the members of his community in Mezeritch, referring to Rabbi Baruch Mordechai and Rabbi Dov Hutner:  ”השלום לידידנו הרב הצדיק רבי ברוך מרדכי השלום לכל אנשי ביהמ”ד.. ובראשם ידידי... הרב ר' דוב הוטנער ירחים עברו מאז הכרנו איש את רעהו...”. Then Rabbeinu writes a Maracha about בשר בשדה טריפה and forbidden foods.  At the end of the letter, Rabbeinu sends his regards to the rabbis of the Mezeritch community: ”בשלום חותנו... הרב הגדול בתורה ויראה חכם אמת מו”ה יעקב שפירא... ובשלום דודו..הישיש... הר”ר שמואל דומ”צ בעיר מולדתי ומשנהו בדומה לו הרב הגאון ר' משה.... Extremely rare letter, handwritten and signed twice by him.  Double paper, four written pages.  11X18 cm.  Tears affecting the text. Fair condition.  The Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Natan Note Handelsman, author of the Netivot Or, Shut and on the Shas, and Sefer Netiv Olam. Served as Rav of several communities in Kleck, Lubashov and eventually, Kiev.
