Letter with Rare Blessings and a Kvitel Handwritten and Signed by the Admor Rabbi Avraham Abba of Pittsburgh - Chanukkah, 1973 - Letter on official stationery, handwritten and signed by the Admor of Pittsburgh Rabbi Avraham Abba Leifer, sent from Shikkun Pittsburgh Ashdod on Chanukkah 1973 and addressed to the Admor Rabbi Yechiel Leifer of Temeshvar whom he describes with the following superlatives: ”ש”ב אהובי ויקירי, הרה”צ חסיד ועניו יקר רוח, שושילתא דיוחסא צמ”ס חו”ב....” and showers him with blessings: ”שהקב”ה יוסיף לכת”ה אא”פ [לכבוד תורתו הרמה, אלף אלפי פעמים] ככה בבריאות השלימות עם רוב נחת ושמחה וחדוה דקדושה... ויד העליונה הקדושה... יהי' נטוי' עליהם לטובה להריק להם כל מיני ברכות ושמירות וחן והצלחה, שלום ושלוה וכל טוב סלה... עד ביאת ינון אמן”. The Admor ends with a plea: ”לישועת השי”ת לכל ישראל בכלל ובפרט במהרה דידן” ו and his handwritten signature with the addition on his mother's name as a Kvitel for prayer.  [1] leaf, approx. 27.5X21.5 cm. Some tears along the edges and some stains.  The Admor of Pittsburgh Rabbi Avraham Abba Leifer (1817-1990) was born in Careli to his father Rabbi Yosef Leifer (the first Admor of Pittsburgh). When he was 12, his father sent him to study under Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Friedman Av Beit Din fo Rachov, where he studied for 4 years and received a Semicha. Then he moved to study at the Sekelhid Yeshiva. He married the daughter of his relative Rabbi Itamar of Nadvorna. The wedding took place in Chernovich, where his father-in-law lived. After the wedding, his father-in-law appointed him Rav of the large synagogue of the town. In 1948, he travelled to the USA and lived with his father for a year. After his father's passing, succeeded him as Admor. Later, he immigrated to Israel and settled in Ashdod. Was famed for his Avodat Kodesh and his Nigunim. His Divrei Torah were published in his book Emunat Avraham.
