Fine Copy in an Original Binding: Sefer Mira Dachya - First Edition Frankfurt an der Oder, 1734 Copy of Rabbi Yaakov De Leeuw - Sefer Mira Dachya, ”Small in quantity and large in quality authored by...the great grammarian Rabbi Mordechai ben Rabbi Yechiel Michl Halevi of Slavtish. A nice work of Rashi's commentary on the Chumash and Chamesh Megillot and some places in the Talmud...”. First edition of the famed work on Rashi's commentary. The Press of Michl Guttshlak, Frankfurt an der Oder, 1734. Originally: [72] leaves. In this copy, leaf 1 of the author's introduction [which the author titled Kaneh Bosem] is missing. Stains and minor blemishes. Several heading were cut in the printing process. Fine, original half-leather binding with minor blemishes. Very good overall condition.  The book is adorned with many approbations by Gedolei Yisrael, which the author collected over 20 years! The approbation by Rabbeinu Naftali Katz, the Semichat Chachamim, is from 1713.   On verso of the binding, the signature of the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov De Leeuw, apparently from 1860.  Rabbi Yaakov (Heiman) De Leeuw was born in 1811 in Zutphen, Holland to Rabbi Chaim.Moved to Leiden to study Torah and became an important Dutch sage. He also published important books on the Talmud Bavli including Shoshanat Yaakov, Achuzat Mere'im, Dvarim Achadim, Chelek Yaakov, Pri Etz Chaim and Mishkenot Haro'im.
