Fine Copy: Sefer Shoshanat Yaakov by Rabbi Yaakov Kimchi - First Edition Sulznbach, 1748 - Sefer Shoshanat Yaakov, ”authored by Rabbi Yaakov the son of the famed Gaon Av Beit Din and Ram of the Kushtantina yeshivas, Rabbi Shmuel Kimshi, on some tractates of Seder Moed and now edited by the above author 2 tractates Beitzah and Ta'anit...”. First and only edition. The Press of Rabbi Meshulam Zalman ben Rabbi Aharon [Frankel]. Sulzbach - 1748. 25 leaves. Approx. 21 cm. Some stains and minor blemishes. Good overall condition.  Ownership signature of Rabbi Abba Yaakov Lief, Ram of the Ner Yisrael Yeshiva of Baltimore and an additional ancient signature that was not studied.  The author, Rabbi Yaakov Kimchi, the son of Rabbi Shmuel - Av Beit Din and Ram of Kushta. Met in London (in 1755) with Rabbeinu the Chida, who describes the meeting in his book Shem Hagedolim. His book She'elah Teshuvah about the Shochatim of London was published in Altona in 1748.
