Ancient Signatures and Glosses - Shut HaBach by Rabbi Yosef Sirkish, author of the great work Bayit Chadash on Arba'ah Turim after which he was known as the Bach - first edition, Frankfurt am Main, 1697. [6], 106, [2] leaves. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod no. 299. In the Rare Book Collection of the National Library.Some moth perforations. Small tears along the edges of several leaves. Stains and some mold stains and some other blemishes. New binding combined with the original leather binding. Good overall condition. The book was approbated by Rabbi Yaakof Sassportas Av Beit Din of the Sephardic community of Amsterdam and Rabbi Yosef Shaul, Av Beit Din of Frankfurt. The book contains responsum 5, which was ripped from most copies and which contains Rabbeinu's words: ”המלעיג על דברי חכמים ומדבר דופי על חכמת הקבלה שהוא מקור התורה ועיקרה וכולה יראת שמים דפשיטא דחייב נידוי”.
