Fascinating Letter by Maran Rabbi Ovadya Yosef with a Request to Purchase Books about the History of Chassidut!!! - Important letter - handwritten and signed by Maran Rabbi Ovadya Yosef  - addressed to the Chareidi author Rabbi Matisyahu Yechezkel Guttman - with a request to purchase his books about the hisotry of leading Chassidic rabbis.  Maran was known for his vast knowledge of the Torah. He also had vast knowledge of Torat Ashkenaz and Lithuania as well as Chassidic books! Frequently, during his lessons, Rabbeinu used to tell Chassidic stories by disciples of the Baal Shem Tov, which he remembered by heart. It is interesting to note that in one of his first reponses in his book Yabia Omer, the Rav bases his Psikah on a quote from the book Menachem Zion by the Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Rimanov!!! In this letter (or possibly, a flyleaf of a book), Maran asks Rabbi Guttman to send him his books in return for his book, which was sent to him: רב תודות על הספרים היקרים ששלח אלי, נא לשלוח אלי תמורת ספרי זה ס' מגבורי ומגדולי החסידות, ור' דוב מליאובה וכיו”ב....”. 13X14 cm. (possibly, this is a flyleaf of Maran's work which was sent to Rabbi Guttman).  Tears not affecting the text to the edges of the leaf. Fold lines. Good condiiton.
