Letter on a Complex Halachic Subject - Handwritten and Signed by the Gaon Rabbi Yissachar Meir - Addressed to the Gaon Rabbi Yechiel Yaakov Weinberg Author of Seridei Esh - Deep Halachic Responsum on a complex halachic subject - handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Yissachar Meir Rosh Yeshivat Hanegev - addressed to the Gaon Rabbi Yechiel Yaakov Weinberg author of Shut Seridei Esh.  Lengthy letter written on both sides of the leaf, discussing questions on matters of Nidah. The letter indicates Rabbi Meir's appreciation of the author of the Seridei Esh. It is interesting to note that among others, Rabbi Meir supports his position with a quote from Rabbi Kalman Kahana's book, Kitzur Halachot, stating that the book is based on the opinion of the Chazon Ish: ”וכ”כ בקצור הלכות ע”י הרב קלמן כהנא שכתבם לדעתי - ע”פ דעת החזו”א זצ”ל”. The Gaon Rabbi Yissachar Meir (1927-2011) Rosh Yeshivat Hanegev. One of the first students of the Ponovezh Yeshiva in Israel. After his wedding, the Rosh Yeshiva was sent by his Rav, Rabbi Kahaneman, to Morocco to establish Torah insitution there. After his return to Israel, he founded the Negev Yeshiva in Netivot. He had a special relationship with the Baba Sali. Authored the book Sechar Sachir on the Torah and Shas.
