Blessings for Longevity and Naches - Letter Handwritten and Signed by the Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer - Jerusalem, 1947 - Warm letter of recommendation with special blessings - handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer author of Even HaEzel- Jerusalem, 1947.  Rabbeinu gave the letter to a Jew, a resident of Jerusalem, who had many medical expenses due to his son's illness: ”מסובל בצער ודחקות מחולשת בנו היקר העוטף העליו...” Rabbeinu ends his letter with warm blessings to the philanthropist, the addressee: ”וד' ישפיע עליו שפע ברכותיו באריכות ימים ובנחת מביתו ומשפחתו, ויזכה לראות בגאולת ישראל האמיתית....”. Official stationery.  14X22 cm.  Filing holes. Good condition.  Rabbi Isser Zalman Melzer (the Even HaAzal) (1870-1954) was the rabbi of Slotzk, head of the Council of Torah Sages in Israel and the head of the Etz Haim yeshiva in Jerusalem. He wrote the Even HaAzal on the Rambam, read widely across the Jewish people.
