Letter Handwritten and Signed by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Messing Av Beit Din of Gustin - Addressed to the Wonder-Worker Rabbi Eliyahu Greiditz - 1870 - שאנשי ירושלים... צועקים מרה - interesting letter by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Messing Av Beit Din of Gustin - addressed to the wonder-worker Rabbi Eliyahu Greiditz - 1870.  In his letter, Rabbeinu writes about his son who was a Rav in Chicago and his wife was unwilling to receive a divorce from him. Rabbeinu asks Rabbi Eliyahu Greiditz to agree with additonal rabbis to permit his son to become outwardly engaged to pressure his first wife to agree to accept the Gett.  At the end of the letter, Rabbeinu refers to the famed Gaon Rabbi Meir Auerbach, author of the Imrei Binah, and the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Yehuda Leib Levy and his son Rabbi Yisrael.  The famed Gaon Rabbi Yosef Messing Av Beit Din of Gustin authored many important books including Arono shel Yosef, Gal Naul, Avnei Shayish and more.
