Special Letter by the Famed Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer Author of Even HaEzel - with Reference to Maran the Rav of Brisk - Jerusalem, 1945 - Letter handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer Av Beit Din of Pinsk and author of Even HaEzel - addressed to Rabbi Meir Berlin (Bar Ilan) - Jerusalem, 1945.  באדמו”ר גאון ישראל הנצי”ב זצ”ל - in his letter, Rabbeinu asks Rabbi Bar Ilan, who was the president of the Kohelet Institute, to support Rabbi Hillel Kagan, a student of the Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva. Among others, Rabbeinu refers to Rabbi Bar Ilan's pedigree: ”ידידי שארי הרב הגאון רב פעלים לתורה ולישוב... באדמו”ר גאון ישראל הנצי”ב זצ”ל..”  and notes that the object of the letter, Rabbi Hillel, received the support of the Mrkaz HaRav Yeshiva and that he is ”מתלמידי שארי הגאון מבריסק שליט”א”  (!!!).  Official stationery.  14.5X21.5  Filing perforations. Good condition.  The Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer author of Even HaEzel (1870-1954) was the Rav of Slutsk, head of the Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah in Israel and the Rosh Yeshiva of Etz Chaim in Jerusalem.
