Letter Handwritten and Signed by Rabbi Shmuel Sorkin, Rav in Brooklyn - Addressed to the Etz Chaim Yeshiva - New York, 1964 - Letter by Rabbi Shmuel Sorkin, Rav in Brooklyn – addressed to the managers of the Etz Chaim Yeshiva – New York, 1964 – signed twice. Official stationery, written on both sides. On one, Rabbi Sorkin, who was a representative of the yeshiva in his community, writes that one of the yeshiva's donors had passed away and her Yahrzeit should be remembered by the yeshiva: היא הייתה מן הנשים המוינות יראת ד' ותמיד פרשה לישיבה ביד נדיבה אבל בזמן האחרון חלתה מאד ובנה שתמך בה נתרושש...”. On the other side, he writes about a donation he himself sent the yeshiva for the upcoming Shavu'ot and signs his and his wife's name: ”מכיוון שאנו עומדים על סף הרגל של קבלת התורה שהיא מבצר חיינו וקיומנו רצופה פה המחאה.... הרב והרבנית שמואל ואיידל סורקין...”.
