Letter Handwritten and Signed by the Gaon Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank the Rav of Jerusalem and Author of Shut Har Zvi - אשר בטח ישבעו רצון ממנו בכל הפרטים - interesting letter - by the Gaon Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank - addressed to Rabbi Yehuda Leib Maimon, one of the leading rabbis and activists of HaMizrachi.  The content of the letter: a request for Rabbeinu's son, to recommend that he be accepted to work in the HaMizrachi Bank which had just been founded: ”בהמשך להשיח שהיה בינינו בדבר בקשתי לקבל את בני... אשר ניכרים היו הדברים כי לקבלת פקידים שמה יהיהו דברי מע”כ נשמעים.... אחלי ידידי שלא תהיה מדה טובה חוזרת ויואיל נא מע”כ לצרף את מחשבותיו גם למעשה... בטח ישבעו רצון ממנו בכל הפרטים הנדרשים לטובת הבנק...”.   Official stationery.  22X29 cm.  Filing perforations slightly affecting the text. Good condition.  Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank (1873-1961) was the son of Rabbi Yehuda Leib. He was a leading contemporary Posek, a founder of the Chief Rabbinate, member of the Chief Rabbinical Council and Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem between 1936-1961. Born in Kovna (Kaunas), he studied at Telz and Slobodka yeshivot, and after moving to Israel continued his studies at the Torat Chaim yeshiva. In 1908 he was appointed a Dayan of the Ashkenazi Prushi Beit Din in Jerusalem. In 1918 he was appointed Av Beit Din, and after the passing of the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen Kook he was appointed Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, but he refused to serve simultaneously as Chief Rabbi of Israel. Thousands of his halachic responses have been printed in his series of books, Shut Har Zvi.
