Touching Letter Handwritten and Signed by the Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Lipa Kleppisch the Son-in-Law of the Admor of Lubeshov - Brisk, 1935 - שימהר הדבר לעשותו כי הזמן קצר - Letter by the Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Lipa Kleppisch Av Beit Din of Lubeshov - addressed to the Gaon Rabbi Meir Berlin (Bar Ilan) - Brisk, 1935. In his letter, Rabbeinu asks Rabbi Bar Ilan to vouch for his son for receiving a certificate to immigrate to Eretz Yisrael. Rabbi Kleppisch asks him to hurry things up (apparently, for fear of his son being recruited in to the army...): ”וכתבתי לידיד אשר הם בארצנו הקדושה שישתדלו.. להשיג ערבות עבור בני יחי'... הישיבה בית יוסף בני ברק נתנה תעודה אשר היא מקבלת עליה לפרנס את בני יחיה.... ולמען המצוה שימהר הדבר לעשותו כי הזמן קצר וד”ל... אכפול עוד פעם את בקשתי... כי ירא אני שלא לאחר את המועד! וד”ל!.. . Extremely rare! Letters by Rabbeinu are uncommon and almost non-existent! Official stationery. 21.5X28.5 cm. Filing perforations slightly affecting the text. Good condition. The Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Lipa Kleppisch (b. 1878) was the son of Rabbi Yaakov Zeev of Warsaw and the brother of the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Zanvil Kleppisch Av Beit Din of Warsaw. Studied in the Telz and Volozhin yeshivas and received his Hora'ah Semicha from the Gaon author of the Chashak Shlomo. Married the daughter of the Admor Rabbi Yaakov Leib Weingarten of Lubeshov and served as Av Beit Din of Lubeshov. Later was a memeber of Vaad HaRabbanim of Brisk.
