Fascinating Letter Handwritten and Signed by Rabbi Shaul ben Shalom Mor Yosef Av Beit Din of Imigran, Morocc - Imigran, 1862 - Fascinating letter that was given to a man who was forced to escape from Rabbeinu's town to Marrakesh - handwritten and signed by Rabbi Shaul ben Shalom Mor Yosef Av Beit Din of Imigran, Morocc - Imigran, 1862.  In his letter, Rabbeinu tells a fascinating story about a man named David Arama who was unjustly persecuted by the authorities. Rabbeinu recommended that he escape to Marrakesh and ask the Beit Din there to save him. In those days, the trip took several days and in his letter, Rabbeinu asks the Jewish People to host him on his way and support him so he will be able to find justice: ”לחכם די הווא צנוע ומעלי... ה”ר דוד.. ב”ר מסעוד עראמא... אשר סבבהו צרות רבות ורצו לתופשו.. בערכאות של הגוים יש”ו וברח ומלט את נפשו... שימצא להוציא ההוצאות בדרך עד שיגיע לעיר מראכש.. ללכת אצל הדיינים על שני עניינים א. על דבר אחותו עם בעלה והב' על דבר איש בליעל שלקח אשה האסורה לו.... לצאת חוץ למחיצתו עד שיוציא צדקו לאורו...” .  Special item! 9.5X14.5 cm.  Tears not affecting the text. Some moth. Good condition.  The Gaon Rabbi Shaul ben Shalom Mor Yosef became blind in his old age. Was succeeded as Rav by his nephew and disciple Rabbi Shalom Mor Yosef.
