Broadside against the Activists Rabbi Moshe Blau and Rabbi Baruch Shlomo Jungreis - about the Election of the Gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel Zack as Gaon Av Beit Din of HaEidah - Rare! - Rare broadside - Pashkevil defaming the famed activists Rabbi Moshe Blau and Rabbi Baruch Shlomo Jungreis about the elections for Gaon Av Beit Din of HaEidah  HaChareidit - Eretz Yisrael Press, 1932.  Background: in 1932, in the last days of Maran Gaon Av Beit Din of HaEidah HaChareidit Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, the Charedi community encouraged by Maran Rabbi Yosef Chaim began looking for his successor. The names of many candidates were brought up including that of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Zack, the Rav of Riga. A letter by his son indicates that his father's appointment was agreed upon and a Rabbanut letter was already sent to him by Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and varied Torah and charity institutions. Unfortunately, the appointment did not come to pass.  In this Pashkevil, the anonymous writers defame Rabbi Moshe Blau and his friend, accuding them of forging the signatures of the institutions שמספר פרטיים יעיזו לפסוע על ראשי עם קודש ולהרכיב אלוף לראשם בעל כרחם ושלא בטובתם ואף גם שלא בידיעתם...”. This broadside can bee seen in the wider context of the separation of Agudat Yisrael from HaEidah HaChareidit and the continuous internal conflict between the Lithuanian wing and the Hungarian one within the Eidah.  Rare! Uncommon! 31X47 cm.  Small tears not affecting the text. Stains, Good condition.
