Copy of Rabbi Zeev Wolf Tenenbaum Author of Rechovot Hanahar Father of the Rabbis of the Tenenbaum Family: Ketzot Hachoshen Section I with an Approbation by Rabbi Moshe of Zvhil - Russia-Poland, ca. 1830 - Sefer Ketzot Hachoshen Section I, the famed work by Rabbi Aryeh Leib Heller who was known as the Ketzot after this book. Printed on the title page: ”Printed in Brunn... in 1796”. This, however, is impossible and apparently, the book was printed in Russia-Poland in ca, 1830. Section I: Simanim 1-132. 2, 4-54; 26; 18 leaves. Some moth perforations. Some tears. Stains and other minor blemishes. Old binding, appparently original, ble, mished. Good overall condition.  On the flyleaves, varied ownership notations and signatures. Of them, the following were identified:  Foreign notation: ”Fabian Tenenbaum - Verpelet” and a Hebrew notation indicating the book had belonged to Rabbi Zeev Tenenbaum.  Signature: ”הק' ליפמאן שטיין חופ”ק סערדאהל”. ”הק' יעקב אלטמאנן” -  Apparently, a descendant of Rabbi Zeev Wolf Tenenbaum.  The Gaon Rabbi Zeev Wolf Tenenbaum , a contemporary leader of Hungarian Jewry. For twenty seven years served as Av Beit Din of Sendra, where he also opened a large yeshiva. Later, he served for twenty seven years as Av Beit Din of Verpelet, where he also established a large yeshiva.  Rabbeinu was famed as a wonder-worker. It is told that there was a small stream beside the synagogue of the town and a yeshiva student drowned there. Several days later, the residents of the town were shocked to discover that the stream had completely dried up! Some assume that to commemorate this terrible event, Rabbeinu titled his book Rechovot Hanahar.  Rabbi Eliezer Lipman Stein (1778-1851) a Hungarian Rav, Av Beit Din of Selish. In 1799, made his way to Eretz Yisrael yet was detained in Serdaheli, where he remained until his passing. Corresponded with leading contemporary rabbis including the Chatam Sofer, Rabbi Yehuda Assad and more. Authored several books including Evel Moshe - a eulogy for the Chatam Sofer.
