Sefer Petach HaOhel, sermons on the Torah and Jewish festivals. Many approbations and forewords that repeat themselves in each section, one of them by his brother the Baba Sali. Furst edition, the press of Shmuel Halevi Zuckerman, Jerusalem, 1923.  1. Bereshit. [16], 153 leaves.  2. Shemot. [16], 85 leaves. Detached binding and title page. Handwritten dedication to Eliyahu Ben Naim... 3. Vayikra. [16], 70 leaves. Fine handwritten dedication: ”... כמוהר”ר דוד שלמה הכהן ני”ו דומ”ץ בעי”ת מליליא יע”א”. 4. Bamidbar-Devarim. [16], 141 leaves. Hole affecting the text to the back board and approx. 20 last leaves.  Moth perforations and other minor blemishes. Original binding with fabric spines. Varied minor blemishes to bindings.  Rabbi David Abuhatzeira (1866-1920) the eldest son of Rabbi Massud Abuhatzeira the son of Rabbi Yaakov Abuhatzeira the Abir Yaakov and brother of Rabbi Yisrael Abuhatzeira the Baba Sali and Rabbi Yitzchak the Baba Khaki. For 5 years, he shut himself in his attic with his father-in-law, Rabbi Eliyahu Abuhatzeira and with Rabbi Moshe Turgeman, fasting and studying Kabbalah. In 1920, Rabbi David was shot to death after stating that he would sacrifice himself to save the entire community of Tefillat.
