Pedigreed Copy: Mishnat Rabbi Natan by Rabbi Natan Adler - First Edition Frankfurt 1862 - Sefer Mishnat Rabbi Natan, glosses and commentaries on Shisha Sidrei Mishnah by the Gaon Rabbi Natan Adler, the Rav of the Chatam Sofer. Copied from a manuscript by him that was written on the margins of the sheets of his Mishnayot with a commentary by Rabbi Zvi Binyamin Auerbach. In practice, only his glosses on Seder Zera'im were published.  First edition Frankfurt am Main 1862. 76, VI pp. Hebrew and German title page. Restored and perforated title page.  Some moth perforations and damage. Blemishes to the first leaves. Original binding. Blemished leather spine. Fair overall condition.  On the flyleaf, an ownership stamp: ”הרב חיים אורי ליפשיץ” - the son of Rabbi Moshe Lifshitz the Admor of Philadelphia. The grandson of the Admorim the Yismach Moshe and Aryeh Dvei Ila'ah. Founded a yeshiva and Beit Yaakov in Philadelphia. Author of several halachic and Aggadic books including the Uri Chaim series of books.
